Hull Minster
Ferrey and Mennim are fortunate to have a long term relationship with many of our clients, and since 1999 have worked with Hull Minster as their quinquennial architect and carrying out their fabric repairs.
Built around 1285, for over 700 years Hull Minster has been the vibrant, city centre, heart of Hull. It is one of the England’s finest, early examples of Perpendicular Gothic architecture and is now Grade I listed. Being constructed under the royal patronage of Edward I it is a remarkably unified church from its era.
The works we have undertaken include the installation of photovoltaics on the roof and stone repairs and re-roofing the tower. The Minster is currently undergoing a complete re-roofing along with a £4.5 million multiphase reordering and redevelopment. This transformation will provide a new underfloor heating system, flexible space within the nave and new visitor centre and café amongst many other improvements.
